Dannielle Malzard


Danni completed her Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy at Auckland University of Technology in 2020 and has been working in private practice since.

Danni has a special interest in sports physiotherapy and rehabilitation, in particular -acute injury management, return to play, injury prevention, and post operative rehabilitation. In addition, Danni also has a background in personal training, and massage therapy.  

Danni has a wealth of skills and tools that she can draw on to manage your full injury rehabilitation – from initial injury to your return to function. She takes a thorough hands-on approach combined with an emphasis on exercise prescription.

Danni is currently the Lead Physiotherapist for the Northern Kahu (Womens National Basketball League)

Outside of work Danni enjoys living an active lifestyle. She enjoys participating in CrossFit competitions, running, and outdoor adventures of all forms. As an active person who has experienced injuries herself, Danni understands and can relate to her patients. She knows what it takes to get you back to full function.

Danni’s roles have included:

  • Albany Barbarians Women’s Premiere Rugby Physiotherapist -1 year

  • East Coast Bays Colts (U21) Rugby Physiotherapist -2 years 

  • Basketball New Zealand Physiotherapy Provider

  • Sports massage therapist for The Warriors, Tongan Rugby League, Roosters, Blues, Highlanders, Māori All Blacks, All Blacks.
